JOB: Production Team Leader

LOCATION: Rochdale

TERM: Permanent

SALARY: GBP 30,000 : GBP 40,000 (Dependant on experience)

Premier Engineering is working with a well:established precision engineering company based in Rochdale. They are looking to recruit a Production Team Leader to oversee a high:performance machining cell specialising in CNC Machining, Grinding, and Toolmaking. This role is ideal for an experienced hands:on leader with a strong background in precision engineering and a drive for continuous improvement.

The Production Team Leader will ideally have the following attributes:

: Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment

: Strong working knowledge of CNC Machining, Surface/Cylindrical Grinding, and Toolroom practices

: Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications

: Familiarity with quality systems and inspection techniques

: Experience with lean manufacturing principles and production efficiency improvements

: Excellent communication, team coordination, and leadership skills

: A proactive approach to problem:solving and continuous improvement

The Production Team Leader Role Will Involve

: Managing a skilled team within a precision machining cell

: Ensuring production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met

: Supporting staff with technical guidance across CNC, grinding, and toolmaking operations

: Monitoring workflow, machine utilisation, and material availability

: Conducting team briefings, performance reviews, and training support
