Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Production Support Technician at its Plymouth, Devon site. You will support the Submarine Support Business Unit, ensuring production documents, quality records and safety compliance meet the highest standards.

This full-time role at Devonport Royal Dockyard operates 37 hours weekly, with 7.30am–3.30pm Mon–Thu and 7.00am–12.00pm on Friday, coordinating inspections and maintaining data in departmental systems to enable on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, refit or maintenance environment.
• Confidence producing and closing out technical and quality documentation.
• Strong IT skills, including data management and Windows-based systems.
• Effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Team-focused with willingness to learn and complete training.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain compliant production and quality documentation to meet programme, safety and quality requirements.
• Coordinate and track non-destructive examination and welding inspection requests through to completion.
• Update and manage production and quality data within departmental systems and databases.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, corporate procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with quality, inspection and engineering teams to support production delivery.
