Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking a Production Support Operator for night shift in a manufacturing setting. The role covers providing cover to the Team Leader, ensuring production targets, and maintaining GMP, Health & Safety, and Food Safety standards in the Bottling Hall.

You will rotate across the area, operate all machinery, and be involved in QA checks, paperwork, and CCP compliance. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Flexible and willing to support different areas when required.
• Organised and conscientious with strong attention to detail.
• Confident operating machinery.
• Able to follow procedures and complete paperwork accurately.
• Numerate and literate with high accuracy.
• Good communicator who collaborates with operatives and team leaders.
• Understanding of Food Safety and CCP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Leader with day-to-day production activities.
• Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety, GMP, and Food Safety.
• Assist with ordering ingredients and packaging materials.
• Identify and communicate mechanical issues affecting production.
• Record and monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Take appropriate action to resolve production issues.
• Maintain clear communication across the team.
• Help supervise and organise Multi-Skilled Operators.
• Ensure CCPs for the production line are understood and followed.

Production Support Operator - Night Shift

Our successful Manufacturer/Supplier Client are looking to expand their workforce due to high customer demands.

Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm - 6:00am

As a member of the Cover Team, you will:

• Support and cover the Team Leader during day-to-day operations and periods of absence.
• Provide support to other team members within the Bottling Hall when required.
• Be flexible and able to operate all machinery within the area.
• Rotate across the area to ensure production is:
• Safe
• Cost-effective
• Completed to the required quality, specification and quantity.

Key Responsibilities

When providing cover, you will:

• Support the Team Leader with day-to-day production activities.
• Promote and maintain high standards of:
• Health & Safety
• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
• Food Safety
• Support with ordering ingredients and packaging materials.
• Identify and communicate mechanical issues that may affect production performance.
• Record and monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Take appropriate action to resolve production issues.
• Maintain clear and effective communication across the team.
• Help supervise and organise the team of Multi-Skilled Operators.
• Ensure all relevant Critical Control Points (CCPs) for the production line are understood and followed.
