Job summary

Albert Bartlett is recruiting a hands-on Production Supervisor for our Fresh Business Unit in Airdrie on a permanent backshift. You will lead a production team to hit daily targets safely, efficiently and to high quality standards within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

You will work closely with Production Managers and other departments to drive performance, develop staff and ensure processes comply with food safety, quality, GMP and health & safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a fast-paced environment.
• Current Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
• Strong people management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operatives.
• Ensure production plans and targets are achieved.
• Monitor staffing levels and allocate resources effectively.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and GMP.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the shift.
• Conduct team briefings and performance discussions.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, QA, Warehouse, and Planning teams.
• Monitor KPIs and take corrective action where required.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.

Production Supervisor - Backshift

Fresh Business Unit | Airdrie

Salary: £13.96 per hour + £0.50 per hour backshift allowance

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Sunday 09:00-17:00, Monday-Thursday 17:00-01:00

Weekend Requirement: 1 in 3 Saturdays

We are currently looking for a motivated and hands‑on Production Supervisor to join our Fresh Business Unit on a permanent backshift basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor or team leader looking to take the next step in their career within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a production team to ensure daily targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
