Job summary

Kingston Barnes Ltd in Bristol is seeking a Production Lead (CNC) to supervise and optimise a precision manufacturing shift in a high-standard aerospace environment. You will oversee shopfloor activities, ensure safety, quality, and output targets, and liaise between production and management.

The role requires CNC or precision engineering experience, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to coaching and team development.

Qualifications

• Background in leadership within a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experienced CNC, assembly or precision engineering background.
• Ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the shopfloor staff to ensure tasks are completed to required standards and schedules.
• Monitor and report on shift performance.
• Drive and support Total productive maintenance activities.
• Promote lean manufacturing principles.
• Be the point of liaison between the shop floor and management.
• Complete accurate shift handover reports, production logs, and incident records.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
• Assist in setting and operating CNC machines when required.

Kingston Barnes has a fantastic opportunity for a Production Shift Lead for one of our manufacturing clients in the Bristol area. Our client specialises in machining complex machined parts for the aerospace industry and is looking for a Production Lead to oversee production to ensure safety, quality, and output targets are met.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the shopfloor staff to ensure tasks are completed to required standards and schedules
• Monitor and report on shift performance
• Drive and support Total productive maintenance activities
• Promote lean manufacturing principles

The Benefits:
