Job summary

Multitask Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Lytham St Annes is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the daily production team and drive efficiency. You will manage machine operators and team leaders, ensuring safety, quality and on-time output in a busy manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes targets, planning, effective resource allocation and continuous improvement, with a Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm schedule and initial training to 4:30pm. Salary £16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Production Supervisor or similar supervisory role within manufacturing.
• Experience managing and motivating a production team.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage workloads and prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach. IT skills (Microsoft Office).
• Experience using Sage or similar business systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily activities of the production team.
• Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved in line with manufacturing plans.
• Allocate staff and resources effectively to maximise productivity.
• Monitor production performance, output and efficiency.
• Ensure machines and production areas are adequately stocked with materials.
• Liaise with the Production Planner to manage schedules and resolve production issues.
• Complete and maintain daily production and efficiency reports.
• Ensure all operators follow health and safety procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the production areas.
• Monitor staff training and ensure operators are competent to use machinery.
• Motivate, support and develop team members, encouraging a positive working environment.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased efficiency.
• Work closely with Quality Control, Engineering, Warehouse and other departments.

The Opportunity

Multitask Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing business based in Lytham.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing or production supervisory experience who enjoys leading a team, improving processes and ensuring production targets are achieved.
