Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Production Supervisor in Hayes to lead a team of assembly operatives on an 8-hour shift, 5 days on and 2 days off. The role is hands-on, with responsibility for meeting production targets and maintaining quality standards. The salary is around £33,000 per year, with private pension and generous holiday entitlement.

You will drive improvement, monitor KPIs, and ensure health and safety compliance in a multi-site manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be hands-on with the team and operate machinery when needed.
• Experience as a production supervisor or team leader in manufacturing.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 quality environments and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of about 10 assembly operatives to meet daily targets.
• Actively operate machinery when required and mentor the team.
• Develop, motivate and coach staff to improve performance.
• Allocate workloads, attend meetings and report KPIs and targets.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety procedures.

Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi-site industrial manufacturer. Due to gaining more customers and future growth plans, they are looking for a driven and enthusiastic production supervisor.

As a Production Supervisor your role & responsibilities will be:

• Leading a team of X10 assembly operatives


• Hands-on with the team, jumping on the machinery to make products when needed


• Lead, develop and motivate everyone


• Workload allocation, attend meetings, monitoring and reporting on KPi's & daily targets


• Ensure full compliance with quality, health & safety procedures

Knowledge, skills & experience need for a Production Supervisor:

• Must be happy being hands-on with the team, operating machinery when needed


• Previously have been a production team leader / supervisor


• Must have worked in a manufacturing / production environment


• Able to lead by example, strong character, setting targets / goals


• Strong problem solving skills


• Knowledge of process & quality control in an ISO 9001 environment


• Highly organised and adaptable
