Position Details

Title: Production Shift Supervisor

Position Type: Direct Role with Client

Job Location: Richmond, VA

Shift: 1st Shift

Compensation: $95,000

Responsibilities
  • Plan shift activities and allocate resources to meet production and performance goals
  • Communicate safety, production, quality, and performance metrics to team members
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying waste, removing barriers, and fostering team ownership
  • Coach and hold team members accountable for safety, behavior, performance, and quality standards
  • Provide ongoing coaching, development, and performance feedback to build team capabilities
  • Hire, retain, and develop talent while promoting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment
  • Partner with leadership to stay aligned with business strategy and operational needs
  • Clearly communicate and implement site direction and priorities to ensure work alignment
  • Complete administrative and documentation requirements accurately and on time
  • Ensure work is completed according to published schedules
  • Facilitate team problem-solving and issue resolution
  • Lead or participate in EHS and Quality investigations and drive corrective actions
  • Enforce compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Monitor and manage controllable shift costs, including overtime and operating supplies
  • Complete Leader Standard Work, including regular line walks and floor presence
  • Initiate recognition and awards for individuals and teams and celebrate achievements
  • Organize and manage staffing levels to support production demands
  • Address personnel and performance issues effectively
  • Provide coverage for weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as needed, including overtime
  • Model and reinforce company Core Values
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, military, or similar environment
  • Prior people leadership experience preferred
  • Experience or training in Lean Manufacturing operations
  • Strong awareness of process and personal safety practices
  • Ability to learn and use digital tools and systems such as MS Outlook, Teams, email, timekeeping, and reporting systems
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
