Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with a Sheffield manufacturing client to recruit a Production Shift Manager to oversee the fabrication department within a complex, regulated operation. The role will work with Heads of Operations to ensure smooth production aligned with the Master Production Schedule and supervise teams of Operatives and Team Leaders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of lean principles (5S) applied in manufacturing environments.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication abilities with the confidence to make decisions and coordinate others effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office and comfortable working towards production targets and deadlines.
• Previous management experience within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery by managing production flow and coordinating with planners and stores.
• Maintain live production boards, lead daily meetings, and ensure alignment with the MPS plan.
• Support stock management, manage non-conforming parts, and drive quality and team development.
• Support the Operations Managers in managing a team of Operatives, Machinists, Welders, Testing and Inspection teams.
