Job summary

Sammons Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Production Scheduler for an established business in Eastbourne. The role focuses on managing forward-looking production schedules, coordinating with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, and supporting on-time delivery.

The successful candidate will have strong organisation, analytical skills, and experience with Excel and ERP systems. Degree educated or qualified by experience, with proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational, communication, and planning skills.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills with good attention to detail.
• Strong Excel and systems knowledge, with confidence working with ERP systems.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and make decisions within agreed guidelines.
• Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Degree educated or qualified by experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage forward-looking production schedules across manufacturing cells.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to agree and manage delivery dates.
• Maximise the use of the ERP/order management system and maintain clear visibility of orders.
• Monitor production capacity against demand and identify potential delays or critical issues.
• Work closely with Cell Leaders to support on-time delivery and resolve scheduling issues.
• Produce and publish production and delivery performance metrics.
• Identify priorities, make timely decisions, and take ownership of scheduling through to completion.
