Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Planner in Portsmouth to coordinate planning activities, maintain schedules and work with production, purchasing and internal teams to meet customer requirements.

The role requires ERP proficiency, strong organisational skills and the ability to handle changing priorities in a busy manufacturing setting. Working hours are 7:45am-4:45pm Mon-Thu and 7:45am-12:15pm Fri.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning within manufacturing or similar environments.
• Practical experience using an ERP system.
• Experience with Oracle, SAP or similar ERP platforms.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Confident communication across departments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate planning and production information within the ERP system.
• Support the Planning Lead with day-to-day production planning activities.
• Update production schedules and planning records accurately.
• Monitor material availability and identify potential shortages or delays.
• Coordinate production priorities to support efficient manufacturing.
• Liaise with production, purchasing and other internal departments.
• Maintain accurate system data to support planning and delivery requirements.
• Provide administrative support across the wider planning function.
