Job summary

HCI Systems Limited, part of the Prodrive group, is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate production activity, secure materials, and keep schedules on track at our Newport-based facility. The role focuses on turning orders into achievable plans and working with multiple departments to meet delivery dates.

The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of communicating clearly with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

Experience in production planning or manufacturing administration.
Strong scheduling and prioritisation abilities.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Confident written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.
A practical, problem-solving approach with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Plan and schedule production from customer requirements to delivery dates.
Create and maintain production schedules and manufacturing orders.
Monitor progress and adjust schedules as priorities shift.
Coordinate with production, purchasing and stores to manage material availability.
Communicate delivery dates and changes to customers.
Identify delays and escalate issues proactively.
Maintain production records and planning data.
Support continuous improvement of planning processes and systems.
