Job summary

HCI Systems Limited, based in Newport, is seeking a dynamic Production Team Leader to guide a team of production technicians in a fast-paced environment. You will drive daily targets, ensure quality and on-time delivery, and coordinate across production, procurement, stores and despatch.

A hands-on leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills, you will safeguard safety and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years' experience leading production teams in manufacturing.
Ability to drive performance while maintaining quality standards and safety.
Experience coordinating across production, procurement, stores, materials, quality and despatch.
Strong communication skills and the ability to support training and development.
Practical knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and standard IT tools.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and support a team of production technicians to meet daily targets.
Coordinate activities across production, procurement, stores, materials, quality and despatch.
Monitor performance, address issues affecting productivity, quality or delivery.
Act as escalation point for production-related matters with internal teams.
Ensure work complies with safety, quality standards and customer requirements.
Conduct daily production reviews and communicate priorities to the team.
Support training and development and work with trainers from technical dept.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to meet customer delivery commitments.
Monitor labour utilisation and update internal systems with production data.
