Job summary

LTS Resourcing partners with a well-established UK SME engineering business to recruit a Production Planner. The role focuses on coordinating production schedules, materials and supplier deliveries from order through to delivery, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time.

You will work closely with Sales, Production, suppliers and customers to manage priorities, identify potential issues and drive solutions through to completion, while maintaining clear lead times, documentation and a

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning within manufacturing or engineering.
• Ability to coordinate multiple areas and manage delivery deadlines.
• Knowledge of pipework and fittings is advantageous.
• Existing MS Office skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Create production job sheets, bills of materials and relevant documentation.
• Develop and manage production schedules and monitor capacity.
• Order and track job-specific parts and components.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure materials arrive when required.
• Work with Sales, Production and customers to manage delivery commitments.
• Identify and resolve risks to customer deadlines.
• Communicate lead times and order progress.
• Support stock control and stock takes.
• Assist with reducing lead times and improving production efficiency.
• Handle customer queries and complaints, escalating where required.
• Provide technical support to customers where appropriate.
