Job summary

Wright Staff Recruitment Ltd is seeking a well-organised Production Planner in Bromyard to bridge customer orders with day-to-day operations. You will own the live order book, ensure the right parts are available, schedule dispatches, and forecast purchases or production to meet demand.

Ideal candidates will have strong Excel skills, production planning experience, and a proactive approach to maintaining supply and on-time delivery within a dynamic, growing company.

Qualifications

• Excel proficiency for large data sets and planning schedules.
• Proven experience in production planning, material control or logistics coordination.
• Ability to analyze an order book, inventory, and forecast shortages.
• High accuracy in data-entry and tracking parts numbers, order volumes, and dispatch dates.
• Adaptable mindset to re-plan schedules when shortages or delays occur.
• Strong verbal and written communication between internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming customer orders and translate into production and dispatch schedules.
• Monitor live stock levels and parts availability to prevent bottlenecks or delays.
• Maintain and update Excel planning spreadsheets to calculate materials to buy or manufacture.
• Plan, organise, and oversee daily dispatches to ensure on-time delivery.
• Liaise with purchasing, manufacturing, and warehouse teams to keep operations running smoothly.
