Syntech Recruitment are recruiting an Assistant Production Planner to join a leading aerospace and defence manufacturer near Oxford. You will support the Production Planning team, ensuring materials, documentation and production schedules are managed to maintain smooth manufacturing operations.

The role suits someone with experience in manufacturing, planning, or materials coordination and offers a competitive salary and pension with a 9% employer contribution and generous holidays.

Formación

• Experience in manufacturing and production planning.
• Knowledge of stock control and materials management.
• ERP/MRP systems experience, SAP or similar.

Responsabilidades

• Support daily and weekly production planning activities.
• Prepare, issue and maintain manufacturing drawings and documentation.
• Monitor material availability and resolve stock shortages.
• Coordinate with Stores, Engineering and Production teams.
• Maintain accurate production records and transactions using SAP.
• Investigate and resolve SAP system errors and production order discrepancies.
• Track work in progress (WIP) and identify potential production delays.
• Support continuous improvement across production planning and materials management.

Assistant Production Planner

Location: Near Oxford (20 minutes' drive)

Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent | Full-Time

The Opportunity

Syntech Recruitment are recruiting for an Assistant Production Planner to join a leading aerospace and defence manufacturer near Oxford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing, production planning, materials coordination or production administration to join an established business producing life-saving aerospace equipment.

You will support the Production Planning team, ensuring materials, documentation and production schedules are effectively managed to maintain smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily and weekly production planning activities.
• Prepare, issue and maintain manufacturing drawings and documentation.
• Monitor material availability and resolve stock shortages.
• Coordinate with Stores, Engineering and Production teams.
• Maintain accurate production records and transactions using SAP.
• Investigate and resolve SAP system errors and production order discrepancies.
• Track work in progress (WIP) and identify potential production delays.
• Support continuous improvement across production planning and materials management.

Skills & Experience

• Experience within manufacturing, production support or production planning.
• Understanding of stock control and materials management.
• ERP/MRP system experience (SAP or similar).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Good IT and administration skills.
• Previous production planning experience would be advantageous.
