Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd seeks a Production Picker to support the stores department on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds. Own transport required due to rural location. This temporary-to-permanent role pays £12.71-£13.50 per hour, 40 hours weekly, 08:00-16:30 with an early finish on Fridays.

Responsibilities include picking machine parts, inventory reconciliation, and assisting in warehouse tasks. SAP familiarity is a plus; forklift licence would help but is not essential.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a Production Picker to join the stores department on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds (own transport required due to the rural location). This is a temporary-to-permanent position offering £12.71-£13.50 p/hour, working 40 hours per week from 08:00-16:30, with an early finish every Friday. Overtime is available, along with an excellent holiday allowance.

The role involves managing inventory for the production team, picking machine parts from the warehouse and preparing them on trolleys ready for the manufacturing team.

Any experience with hand tools would be highly advantageous, whether it's production or assembly-based.

Production Picker Duties:

• Picking machine parts from the warehouse.
• Reading and working from stock lists while managing inventory.
• Assisting in the warehouse as and when required.
• Regularly reconciling physical stock against computerised records.
• Taking responsibility for your own health and safety and personal development, keeping up to date with relevant issues and maintaining good housekeeping standards.
• Previous warehouse experience is essential, but some training will be provided. You must be computer literate, and familiarity with stock control systems such as SAP would be beneficial.

A forklift licence would be hugely beneficial but is not essential for the role.

This is a permanent position following a successful trial period.
