Photek is seeking a Production Operator to join its Production Team at our East Sussex facility. You will work across multiple production areas, including a clean room, with PPE supplied.

This full-time, office-based role reports to a Production Team Leader within the Operations Department and requires close daily collaboration with other production members and the Engineering/Test teams. The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, measurement, documentation, and adherence to production procedures,

Qualifications

• Proven ability with small component assembly and basic mechanical knowledge
• Experience in assembly work or manufacturing environment desirable
• Education: GCSE maths and English at grade 6–9/A–C or equivalent

Responsabilités

• Prepare and clean components for sub-assemblies
• Perform manual assembly using small tools
• Operate automated assembly equipment
• Use welding/soldering equipment and machine tools
• Measure parts and inspect (possibly with a microscope)
• Record data and follow production procedures
• Meet production time frames
• Support despatch of finished products
