Job summary

Marshalls plc in Bridgend, Wales, is hiring a Production Operative to join our Grove site on a permanent basis. You will help manufacture high-quality decorative architectural masonry and other concrete products to customer specifications.

This role requires manual handling, use of powered hand tools, and production machinery, with a 40-hour week on a 3-week shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm & 10pm-6am) and overtime available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting industrial manufacturing machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to carry out machine changeovers and basic fault-finding to minimise downtime.
• Strong understanding of production KPIs, including OEE, productivity and waste reduction.
• Experience conducting quality inspections and ensuring products meet specifications.
• Ability to read production documentation and follow instructions.
• Experience using powered hand tools and lifting equipment safely.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement.
• Excellent attention to detail and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor and optimise production machinery to hit targets.
• Carry out routine machine checks and minor adjustments; escalate issues as needed.
• Monitor product quality and record production, downtime and waste data.
• Support engineering and maintenance teams; participate in CI projects.
• Assist in training new team members and uphold safety standards.
