Job summary

Marshalls plc in Bridgend, Wales is hiring a Production Operative to join our Grove site. This permanent role involves setting up, operating and maintaining concrete production machinery to meet customer specifications, with a 40-hour week on a 3-week shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) and overtime.

You will monitor quality data, participate in continuous improvement, and work closely with Engineering and Maintenance.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating and setting industrial manufacturing machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to carry out machine changeovers, adjustments and basic fault-finding to minimise downtime.
Strong understanding of production KPIs including OEE, productivity, quality and waste reduction.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, monitor and optimise production machinery to reach targets.
Carry out routine machine checks and minor adjustments; escalate equipment issues.
Record production, downtime and waste data and monitor product quality.
Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance; support training of new team members.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and cost performance.
