Job summary

Weetabix in the United Kingdom is seeking a committed operator to run factory machinery safely and efficiently, following Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures. The role may involve working across different areas of the plant.

This is an entry‑level career step at Weetabix, with training and development, daily KPI reviews, team huddles and improvement projects, plus a comprehensive benefits package including shift allowance and pension. Shift pattern: 42 hours per week on average.

Qualifications

• Basic Food Hygiene certification (CIEH certificated).
• HACCP awareness required.
• COSHH awareness required.
• Manual handling awareness.
• Health and safety awareness essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery per SOPs to ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety compliance.
• Encourage safety practices by providing constructive feedback among peers.
• Report hazards using the T-card system.
• Participate in Risk Assessment reviews as needed.
• Engage in performance management through baton handovers and daily operations reviews to improve team KPIs.
• Support Fuel for Growth initiatives through root cause analysis and improvement projects.
• Complete basic machine setup and maintenance after training.
• Utilise basic computer skills, including Office and real-time data capture tools.
• Adhere to 5S principles and participate in factory audits.
