Deeside Cereals, part of the Weetabix family, seeks a production-focused team member at their Deeside site. You’ll help prepare, process and pack raw materials into finished products while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes efficient operation, accurate material handling and collaboration with QA and engineering to minimise downtime and ensure consistent output. Prior experience in food manufacturing is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English and Maths
• Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• FLT licence is advantageous for handling materials

Responsibilities

• Ensure weekly production targets are met on the plant
• Maintain a steady supply of raw materials and packaging for the line
• Adjust production line machinery to maximise efficiency
• Order correct volumes of materials to meet the daily plan
• Complete production-related output and material usage paperwork
• Induct new and temporary operators onto the production team
• Carry out line changeovers, strip downs and re-assembly
• Keep the production line in good working order to meet weekly targets
• Perform safety checks before daily production starts
• Ensure finished product quality and paperwork compliance
• Use initiative to correct faults and stoppages
• Communicate with QA and Engineering when issues arise
• Fulfill tasks assigned by line manager
• Maintain food safety, quality and legality
