Job summary

Balmoral Tanks Ltd is seeking a Picker/Packer Operator to join a two-person team. You will pick and pack items to BOMs, perform final inspections, and prepare despatch paperwork to meet OTIF targets.

Desirable prior despatch/warehouse experience, ability to read basic engineering drawings, and a proactive, customer-focused approach. Forklift license is a plus; apply to support a growing, quality-focused operation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders in line with Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Perform final inspection of pre-packed items for accuracy and conformity.
• Maintain 100% accuracy in picking, packing, wrapping and labelling to standards.
• Prepare goods and paperwork for despatch to support OTIF targets.
• Operate forklifts and pallet trucks where trained; assist with loading outbound consignments.
• Maintain live records and perform stock checks; uphold 5S standards.

Picker/Packer Operator

Balmoral Tanks Ltd is a leading European engineering design and manufacturing company. Following significant investment in both our people and facilities, we now offer what is believed to be the most comprehensive single‑source range of tank products in the EU.

We’re looking for a Picker/Packer Operatorjoin our team. The jobholder will be part of a two-man team structure. Responsibility is to accurately as a team “In a timely manner” final inspect pre‑packed items to set guidelines to ensure accuracy and conformity of goods being Picked and Packaged requested from BOM’s (Bills of Materials). These itemspredominantly complyofnumerousengineering products manufactured in-house along with various BIP itemsthat whencombinedmake‑up full kits of parts that arerequiredto fully construct our product on various customer sites worldwide.

What you’ll be doing

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders in line with Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Final inspection of pre‑packed items to ensure accuracy and conformity
• Maintain 100% accuracy in picking, packing, wrapping and labelling to company standards
• Prepare goods and paperwork for despatch, supporting on‑time‑in‑full (OTIF) targets
• Operate forklifts, pump trucks and powered pallet trucks (where trained)
• Load outbound consignments when required
• Maintain live and accurate record‑keeping throughout the process
• Carry out general warehouse duties and participate in stock checks
• Work to strict deadlines, KPIs and productivity targets
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with 5S standards
• Adhere to all health, safety and company policies at all times
• Work collaboratively as part of the wider team, demonstrating company core values
