Job summary

Balmoral Tanks are seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead client projects from handover to completion. You will coordinate across Sales, Design, Production and Despatch, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and profitability while maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will manage budgets, track progress and support international shipments. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing customer-facing projects within manufacturing, engineering or construction.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience monitoring project performance, budgets and schedules.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience working directly with customers in a business-to-business environment.
  • Knowledge of export documentation and international shipping requirements.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of project profitability.
  • Experience working within engineering or manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage projects from start to finish.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate activities across Sales, Design, Production, Quality, Finance and Despatch teams.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, variations and invoicing.
  • Ensure drawing approvals and contractual milestones are achieved on time.
  • Arrange export shipments and support international projects.
  • Manage customer enquiries, concerns and complaints professionally.
  • Produce project performance reports, including budget vs actual spend analysis.
  • Support overseas Technical Advisors with technical and travel arrangements when required.
  • Maintain accurate project information within company systems.
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental standards are met, including RAMS.
  • Contribute to forecasting and continuous improvement activities.

We are looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Project Manager to join our Contracts team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of projects from handover through to completion, ensuring customers receive an outstanding experience while projects are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from sales handover through to final completion. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered successfully and expectations are exceeded.
