Workshop Recruitment is recruiting Production Operatives for a well‑established timber manufacturer in Horsham, West Sussex. The role is permanent and involves hands‑on work across multiple processes with full training provided.

Salary is £14.26–£18.55 per hour with a 42‑hour week on a 3 days on / 3 days off / 3 nights on / 3 days off pattern. On‑site parking and health & wellbeing programmes are available.

Our client is a well‑established and successful manufacturer based in Horsham, producing high‑quality bespoke timber products for customers across the UK.

We are currently recruiting Production Operatives to join their manufacturing team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for practical, hands‑on individuals looking to develop their manufacturing skills, with full training provided across a variety of machinery and production processes.

The Role

Working as part of a busy production team, you will be trained across multiple areas of the manufacturing operation. The role is varied and hands‑on, with the opportunity to develop your skills and take responsibility for different production processes.

Duties will include:

• Operating production machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Assembling and finishing timber products
• Following work orders, drawings and standard operating procedures
• Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
• Working to daily production targets
• Keeping the workplace clean, safe and organised
• Supporting different production departments as required
• Reporting production issues and identifying areas for improvement
• Working in line with company Health & Safety procedures
• Taking responsibility for specific production functions and processes
• Supporting the wider production team to ensure smooth and efficient output

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a manufacturing, production or workshop environment and be comfortable working with hand tools and machinery.

You will need to be:

• Practical and hands‑on
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working to targets and deadlines
• Able to follow instructions and production procedures
• Quality‑focused with good attention to detail
• Physically fit, as the role involves standing and lifting
• A good team player with strong communication skills
• Flexible and willing to learn new processes and skills
• Available to work the rotating day and night shift patternExperience in woodworking, carpentry, timber manufacturing or CNC machinery would be advantageous but is not essential.
