Job summary

The Timber Group Herringswell is seeking a Production Operative to help run the mill efficiently and safely (IP28 6SS). You will unwrap and wrap timber packs, operate infeed/outfeed machinery, run the baler, and keep the mill clean, tidy and safe while ensuring stock is clearly labelled.

The role offers on-site shifts and a supportive team environment. We value reliability, a practical approach to tasks, and the ability to work well with others.

Qualifications

• Comfortable reading paperwork and keeping records accurate.
• Able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
• Good time management and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely unwrap and wrap timber packs.
• Operate machinery at infeed and outfeed to keep things moving smoothly.
• Run the baler and keep it in good shape.
• Help keep the mill clean, tidy and safe.
• Make sure stock is organised and clearly labelled.
• Chat with the team to keep everything running smoothly.
• Jump in with any other tasks that help get the job done.
