Job summary

James-Hall- is seeking a bakery operative to join our multi-skilled production team. You will help produce a range of breads and confectionery products and ensure high quality to meet customer satisfaction.

This temporary 12-month FTC role involves 38 hours per week (06:00-14:00, 5 days out of 7). Applicants should be organised, numerate and team-oriented; Level 2 food safety is preferable, but training can be provided.

• Experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Level 2 food safety and hygiene preferred, training can be provided.

Here is What You Can Expect to be Doing

• Production, baking and packing various bakery products
• Working across multiple production lines
• Set up and run machinery used for the manufacture of bakery products to set specifications
• Completing of documents and records accurately
• Manufacture safe, quality food byfollowing all relevant Health, Safety, Environment and Food Safety standards and working practices
• General housekeeping, and maintaining the cleanliness of the production areas
• Moving equipment such as trolleys and racks safety
• Adheres to site processes and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation to produce and deliver unbeatable quality products

• To be a positive and organised individual
• Experience of working within a similar role is desirable
• Level 2 in food safety and hygiene would be preferable, but training can be given
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• To be enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated

• Good written and verbal skills with a good level of numeracy
• Ability to work in a safe manner and consider the safety of others
