Job summary

Prestige Recruitment Specialists is seeking a reliable Production Operative for a temporary role in Stradbroke, Mid Suffolk. The job involves operating a small bag production line, lifting packs around 10kg, and working 2pm–10pm after an initial two-week 6am–2pm training period.

Initial training will be on 6am–2pm, with forklift counterbalance and reach exposure advantageous. Basic food hygiene and health & safety knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine operation or production environment.
• Practical and confident with basic fault finding.
• Comfortable using hand tools.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety conscious.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Positive and willing to get stuck in.
• Capable of working in a busy production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain production equipment.
• Operate machinery on a small bag production line.
• Carry out basic preventative maintenance.
• Manage changeover parts and spares.
• Record downtime and repairs with maintenance team.
• Use basic hand tools to support operations.
• Keep area safe and efficient.
• Work independently and take ownership of your area.
• Risk assess tasks as required.
