Job summary

Gap Personnel in Stonehouse is hiring a Production Operative on a temporary ongoing basis. The role covers heavy lifting, manual handling, packing, palletising and dispatch of goods, with shifts from 06:00am–14:00pm or 14:00pm–22:00pm, Monday to Friday, with weekly rotation. Inductions are in Gloucester; English proficiency required.

Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Stonehouse

Pay Rate: £13.50 (AM & PM Shift) pre 12 weeks. £14.56 (AM & PM Shift) post 12 weeks

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 06:00am – 14:00pm & Monday – Friday 14:00pm – 22:00pm (weekly rotational shifts)

Contract: Temporary ongoing

gap-personnel are currently recruiting for temp to perm Production Operatives for one of the multinational companies based in Stonehouse. They are a leading distributor of food around the work and recently moved to the area (GL10). As a Production Operative you will need to be able to demonstrate good manual handling techniques and be prepared that the job will involve heavy lifting products.

Must have good level of English, in order to pass the induction. For those that can demonstrate a strong work ethic, and a commitment to the working hours there are ongoing opportunities available.

Main Duties as a Production Operative –:full training will be given for the below roles:

• Good manual handling techniques
• Heavy lifting will be involved
• Physically fit as the role involves heavy lifting and material handling
• Supporting production line during manufacturing
• Packing, palletising and dispatch products
• Can involve loading and unloading occasionally

Requirements:

• Good level of spoken and written English (required to successfully complete the induction process)

As part of the selection process, inductions will be held on our Gloucester office before starting the role.
