Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited is seeking a Production Operative at the Uffculme Mill. This permanent full-time role offers a 48-hour week, hands-on responsibilities in manufacturing and dispatch, and scope to develop within the Mole Valley Farmers group.

You will help ensure products are produced, packed, and dispatched safely, while upholding company standards and regulatory compliance. This entry point offers clear progression into roles such as planning or engineering within the group.

Qualifications

• Experience in production/manufacturing or agricultural environment.
• Basic mechanical understanding and ability to operate machinery.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety and compliance standards.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented approach.
• Willingness to work shifts and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Operate mill equipment and process systems safely and efficiently.
• Manage weighbridge procedures and quality control.
• Operate bagging and packing systems and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor stock levels and support stock control.
• Load vehicles and serve customers with accuracy and care.
• Support compliance audits and follow medicated procedures.
• Maintain clean and tidy work areas and report equipment issues.
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet production targets.

About The Role

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time

Hours of Work: 48 Hours per week

As a Production Operative, you’ll be central to the day-to-day running of our feed mill operations. You’ll help ensure products are manufactured, packed, and dispatched safely and efficiently, while maintaining compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

This is a fantastic entry point into the business, with clear progression opportunities. Career paths can lead to roles such as LGV Driver, Production Planner, Engineer, or other positions across the wider Mole Valley Farmers group.
