Job summary

KHR - Recruitment Specialists is recruiting a Production Operative on a temp-to-perm basis for the outskirts of Tonbridge. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, offering a starting salary of £26,500 per year plus benefits.

The vacancy requires experience in production, physical fitness for heavy lifting, and reliable teamwork skills. The successful candidate will produce bulk products, fill containers, test quality, pack goods for dispatch, and assist with stock checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production environment is preferred.
• Able to lift heavy items and stay physically fit.
• Good basic numeracy skills for counts and measurements.
• Neat and legible handwriting for labeling and records.
• Well organised and efficient in a fast-paced setting.
• Capable of working well in a team or individually when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate production lines including bulk product manufacture from raw materials.
• Handle filling, labeling, packing, and dispatch preparation.
• Support with stock checks and annual stock-take activities.
• Act as a deputy for other Production Department staff as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area following health and safety policies.
• Keep the factory, stores and packing areas tidy and organised.

KHR are pleased to be partnered with a leading manufacturer with an excellent reputation for high-quality goods, who is recruiting a Production Operative to join their team on a temp-to-permanent contract.

Responsibilities

• Production operations including production of bulk products from raw materials, filling containers, quality testing, picking stock ready to be packed
• Packing operations including labelling, filling, assembling, and packing products ready for dispatch
• Assisting with periodic stock checks and annual stock-take
• Deputising for other Production Department staff as required
• Working in a safe, orderly manner with regard for the safety of others and following company health and safety policy and procedures
• Helping to maintain the factory, raw material stores, packing areas and warehouse in a clean and tidy

Candidate Profile

• Similar experience in a production role
• Physically fit due to heavy lifting
• Good understanding of basic maths.
• Neat and clear legible handwriting
• Be organised and efficient
• Be a good team player with the ability to work alone when required
