Job summary

Adecco is looking for a Production Operative in Welham Green for a 6-month contract with the potential to become permanent. The role offers £14.00 per hour in a busy manufacturing setting, with opportunities to grow within the team and possibly secure a permanent position.

Typical hours are Monday to Thursday, 07:30–16:30, and Friday, 07:30–12:30. You will support final production tasks, inventory control, and continuous improvement across the department.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production environment is required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Competent IT skills, including ERP systems.
• Ability to read picking lists and stock records.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare products for dispatch - final production duties.
• Reel, palletise and cut materials, pick and pack as required.
• Check picking lists and print labels accurately.
• Use the ERP system to manage inventory and stock movements.
• Verify stock, part numbers and lot numbers.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure quality standards are met.
• Support different production areas as required to meet business needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in a production
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Competent IT skills, including experience using inventory or ERP systems
• The ability to read and understand picking lists, stock records and documentation
• Experience working within a Quality Management System, ideally ISO 9001:2015
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings and diagrams
