Job summary

Proactive Technical Limited is seeking a Production Operative for a busy manufacturing site in the UK. You will support the production process, handle materials, and ensure products are produced safely, efficiently and to quality standards.

Training will be provided on equipment and processes. The role offers full training, with potential for long-term employment and shift-based working in a rotating pattern after the initial period.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse is desirable.
• Willingness to learn new production processes and operate equipment.
• Good attention to detail and quality.
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
• Able to handle manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely move, store and organise raw materials, components and finished goods throughout the production facility.
• Load and unload deliveries using the appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment.
• Supply production lines with the correct materials to ensure manufacturing runs efficiently and without interruption.
• Operate production machinery and equipment following full training, standard operating procedures and health and safety guidelines.
• Carry out basic quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards and report any defects or non-conformances.
• Complete production documentation accurately where required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues during shift handovers, ensuring any production issues, quality concerns or equipment faults are clearly passed on.
• Work closely with production, warehouse and quality teams to achieve daily production targets.
• Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work at all times.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute positively to team objectives.

We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy and growing manufacturing business. Working Hours

Initially, you will work:

• Monday to Friday
• 6.00am to 2.00pm

Following the training period, the role will move onto a rotating weekly shift pattern:

• 6.00am to 2.00pm
• 2.00pm to 10.00pm

Pay

• £15.00 per hour
• Holiday pay accrued in addition to your hourly rate
• Ongoing opportunity with the potential for long‑term employment
