Job summary

Langmead Herbs Ltd. is seeking a Packing Operative to ensure products are packed to customer specifications while maintaining strict hygiene and HACCP compliance to support production efficiency.

The role follows a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern from 06:00 to 18:00, with an hourly rate of £13.26. You will operate in a fast-paced packing environment, upholding cleanliness and safety standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all products are packed to customer specification.
• Enforce a stock rotation system.
• To ensure that the Pack house is free from rubbish and tidy and compliant with Food Hygiene and HAACP requirements
• Make sure the production areas and surroundings are maintained to the highest standard on cleanliness and presentation.
• Ensure to carry out all tasks to the full.
• Ensure that all sign off sheets are filled out correctly and on time.
• Comply with all Company and Health and Safety Regulations
• Comply with all Company Environmental Objectives.
• Liaise with production product quality.

Shift Pattern and hours: 4 days on, 4 days off. 06:00am to 18:00pm.

• Keep production areas clean and tidy at all times, and ensuring clean downs are to the required standard
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Although full training will be provided, the experience and skills that will help you hit the ground running are:

• To be able to operate in all positions within the DCF, loading lines, boxing, palletising, packing and changing machines.
• To operate in accordance with company health and safety policy, standard operating procedures & protocols.
• Have the ability to interpret product and customer requirements.
• To be able to prioritise workload effectively
• Must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
