Job description

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Average of 48 hours per week, working shifts

Shifts: Morning 6.00 am - 3.00 pm Monday - Friday and 6.00 am - 12.00 pm on Saturday
Afternoon shift 3.00 pm - 12.00 am Monday - Friday

Location: Uffculme Feed Mill, Feed Mill, Bridge Street, Uffculme, Devon, EX15 3AX

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small friendly team at our Animal Feed Mill in Uffculme. In this role you will manufacture animal feed from raw materials through to loading the lorry.

This is an active and practical environment which requires an Operative who is a great communicator and team player. Due to the nature of the products and role, this position will involve regular lifting.

On a day-to-day basis you will be:

• Operating the mill machinery and equipment
• Following weighbridge procedures
• Operating bagging and packing systems
• Responsible for stock control of raw material

To be a successful Production Operative you will be:

• Hard working and able to follow instruction
• Able to work calmly under pressure
• A team player who can work from their own initiative without constant supervision
• Able to do repetitive tasks
• Flexible with an adaptable approach to work
• Patient and careful
