Job summary

Prime Appointments on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex, is seeking a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing site on a temporary basis. This hands-on role requires you to work on the production line, support team targets, and travel to a rural site with your own transport.

The position offers a daytime schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. On-site parking is provided as part of a flexible, ad-hoc temporary arrangement.

Qualifications

• Manual handling experience is beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working on a production line.
• Reliable and able to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

We are currently looking for a Production Operative to join a growing manufacturing and production company based on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex, on a temporary basis.

Duties of the Production Operative

• Operating machinery and running the production line
• Working as part of a team to meet production targets
• Palletising and wrapping finished goods
• Supporting other areas of the operation as required
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment

What We're Looking For

• Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred but not essential
• Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
• Comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks and being on your feet throughout the day
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and willing to work in a hands‑on production environment
