Job summary

New Appointments Group Ltd is recruiting a Process Operations Supervisor to join our Rochester manufacturing site. You will lead day-to-day production and process operations, drive CI initiatives and develop a high-performing team, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets are met.

In this role you will monitor KPIs, coordinate staffing, and use Lean and 5S methodologies to optimise performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Experience monitoring KPIs and driving operational performance.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S or Operational Excellence.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive approach with ability to motivate and develop teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily production and process operations to achieve targets.
• Ensure manufacturing plans and schedules are delivered efficiently and on time.
• Monitor and manage KPIs including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, OEE, downtime, yield and productivity.
• Coordinate staffing levels, workload allocation and resource planning.
• Identify and resolve production issues, escalating concerns when required.
• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across the operation.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards and operational requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop operators, technicians and production personnel.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and 5S initiatives.
• Use Root Cause Analysis and Kaizen to improve operational performance.
• Analyse production data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and output.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Planning and Supply Chain teams.
