Job summary

Understanding Recruitment is seeking an exceptional Machine Learning Engineer to build and deploy production‑grade AI systems focused on LLMs. You’ll work across models, data, evaluation and production pipelines, turning the latest AI advances into reliable, high‑impact products.

You’ll design evaluation frameworks, experiment with prompting and fine‑tuning, and collaborate with software and product teams to shape the ML architecture and tooling for scalable, real‑world solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Python & software engineering skills.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and PyTorch.
• Knowledge of transformers, embeddings and modern NLP concepts.
• Experience taking ML models from experimentation through to production.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship LLM-powered features and systems into production.
• Design robust evaluation frameworks to measure and improve model performance.
• Experiment with prompting, fine-tuning, retrieval and agentic approaches.
• Build data and ML pipelines that support rapid experimentation at scale.
• Optimize models and inference for latency, reliability and cost.
• Collaborate with software, product and domain experts to solve real-world problems.
• Help shape the company’s ML architecture, tooling and technical direction.
