Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Production Controller to join its manufacturing team in Yeovil. You will coordinate material availability, align with the Master Production Plan, and ensure timely supply of parts to support assembly operations.

Working across Production, Purchasing, Stores and Planning, you will identify shortages, drive corrective actions, and help maintain on-time delivery while upholding quality standards. A strong eye for detail and SAP/MRP familiarity are desirable.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent qualification desirable.
• Strong educational background with relevant work experience.
• High level of integrity and professionalism with a reliable approach to work.
• Strong team player with a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
• Good understanding of company quality systems and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard office applications.
• Practical working knowledge of SAP MM/PP modules.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes with appreciation of MRP principles.

Responsibilities

• Launch production orders as required by the plan.
• Split production orders and ensure data is transferred correctly.
• Close rework and labour-only orders with clocked operations.
• Generate statistics/reports for manufacturing shop floor (WIP).
• Monitor and action WIP for incorrect clocking or movement days.
• Update production order status and comments; address queries like serial numbers.
