Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Material Controller to ensure timely manufacture according to the Master Production Schedule. You will manage materials in the production chain, expedite items, and generate weekly progress reports using SAP and Teamcenter.

The role is on-site at Luton and requires strong planning skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and collaboration with IPT and material supply teams. BPSS/National Vetting may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP is essential.
• Planning experience in a production environment is required.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
• Strong analytical skills with focus on continuous improvement.
• Awareness of ESD and FOD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review, release, and manage internal Production/Service orders aligned with MPS and customer plans.
• Expedite work through production areas daily, coordinating with manufacturing teams to review capacity.
• Schedule Production/Service Orders using SAP.
• Use Teamcenter to ensure current drawings and work instructions are applied to orders.
• Coordinate vendor operations with Delivery and Logistics teams.
• Implement FRB/MRB actions and manage dispositioned material.
• Liaise with Industrial Engineering for accurate rework timings.
• Oversee delivery of kits to Manufacturing and Engineering areas.
• Inform stakeholders of delays and propose re-prioritisation to protect MPS.
• Participate in production reviews as part of the Integrated Product Team.
• Collaborate with Material Supply to ensure material availability for the plan.
