Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a hands-on Operations Supervisor in the UK to lead shift performance and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, enforce standard work, and manage labour and overtime to meet OT D and OAE targets.

Ideal candidates will actively reduce waste, lead 5S initiatives, and uphold IATF 16949/ISO standards while coaching supervisors under pressure to maintain safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading daily tier meetings with accountability.
• Ability to hold supervisors to safety, output and quality.
• Proven track record reducing downtime and scraps.
• Strong problem-solving and coaching skills.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own shift-by-shift performance against OTD and OAE targets.
• Align cross-functionally to remove constraints immediately.
• Enforce production standards and adherence to standard work.
• Control labour deployment and overtime spend.
• Ensure material, tooling, and machine readiness before shifts.
• Escalate and resolve bottlenecks and drive recovery plans.
• Lead daily tier meetings with actions and ownership.
