Job summary

Fluke Corporation in Norwich seeks a Production Manager to oversee day-to-day and strategic production operations, using the Fortive Business System to achieve defined quality standards at minimum feasible cost.

The role manages Production Team Leaders and a Production Planner, drives continuous improvement, and ensures adherence to standard processes while leading training and performance reviews. The position is based at the Norwich site.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for subordinate Managers and extended team’s adherence to all processes within assigned area(s), including contributing to the development and implementation of new processes and to the continual improvement of existing processes.
• Responsible for delivery of revenue, reduction of Past Due Customer Backlog and On Time Delivery of all products shipped from the Norwich facility.
• Trains/facilitates the training of team members to defined standard process and ensures ongoing adherence to the standard.
• Responsible for performance management of defined team, including but not limited to; Performance appraisals, Monthly 1:1 reviews, Disciplinary Investigations, Disciplinary Hearings.
• Responsible for the development of defined team, including but not limited to; Fluke/Fortive supplied training materials, recommendation of external courses, 1:1 coaching/mentoring, Management coaching.
• To recommend appropriate career band status changes and/or salary increases for team members and reviewing/approving recommendations of subordinate managers.
• Uses the Daily Management process to manage team performance, drive improvement, focus and prioritize production support activities.
• Frequently tracks discretionary spend budgets to ensure production operates within assigned budgets wherever possible. Escalates budgetary issues to the Operations Manager where required.
• Responsible for the implementation of FBS (Fortive Business System) within the production area, including getting "buy in" and breadth/depth of understanding from the production employees.
