Job summary

Fortive's Norwich site is seeking a Production Manager to lead both day-to-day and strategic production operations. The role focuses on delivering high-quality products at minimum feasible cost through the Fortive Business System (FBS).

You will manage Production Team Leaders and the Planner(s), drive continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to processes, budgets, and on-time delivery. Collaboration with Fluke Norwich and HR is expected.

Qualifications

• Timely decision making under pressure in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with focus on production scheduling.
• Proven ability to lead and engage teams, coach and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day and strategic production operations to meet quality and cost targets.
• Ensure on-time delivery and reduce backlog across Norwich site.
• Train and develop team members; manage performance reviews and disciplinary processes.
• Drive continuous improvement using Fortive Business System (FBS) and Kaizen events.
• Lead and coach Production Team Leaders and Planner(s); manage budgets within approvals.
