Job summary

Unipart Manufacturing is launching a flagship, fast-paced production project in Coventry, combining high-volume electrification assembly with injection moulding inputs. You will lead shop-floor operations, embed Unipart Way lean processes, and direct production teams to achieve world-class safety, quality, and output.

The role requires proven manufacturing leadership, lean mastery, and strong people management.

Qualifications

Proven leadership in high‑volume manufacturing, automotive, or industrial production.
Demonstrable Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement experience (5S, Kaizen, Poke‑Yoke, JIT).
Strong communication, directive leadership, and coaching of shift teams.
Experience with assembly lines, electrification inputs, or injection moulding is desirable.
UK driving licence is required to operate site vehicles and access.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision and leadership to production teams, ensuring on-time output against demanding schedules.
Lead rapid scale‑up during the growth phase, directing shift briefings and capability building.
Coach teams in lean manufacturing techniques and standard work to hit zero‑PPM quality standards.
Maintain Health, Safety, and Environment compliance, drive risk assessments and housekeeping.
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Toolroom, Maintenance, and Logistics to minimize downtime and control costs.
Shape evolving processes and adapt to changing priorities within the project scope.
