Job summary

Medik8 is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support production lines in our GMP skincare facility in the UK. You will report to the Production Manager and perform line setup, adjustments, calibration, and maintenance to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.

The role is onsite, Monday to Friday, 14:30–23:00, with a salary of £30,000–£32,000 based on experience. Complete a pre-employment medical questionnaire as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background is required.
• Experience in a GMP production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with compliance checks to meet standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Line set up: Prepare and set up production lines for operation and ensure equipment is ready.
• Setting adjustments: Adjust equipment settings for quality and efficiency.
• Filling checks and adjustments: Inspect filling machines for accuracy.
• Weigh scale tolerances and checks: Calibrate scales to tolerances.
• Removal of parts: Disassemble parts for cleaning.
• Reassembly of parts: Refit cleaned parts and ensure full function.
• Video jet ink setup: Configure ink printing for product labelling.
• Daily/Visual PPMs: Perform routine maintenance checks.
• Equipment maintenance: Maintain other production equipment not in PPM.
• Pump setup and purging: Prepare pumps for production use.
• Line support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting across lines.
