Emtec Group in Coatbridge is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our off‑site manufacturing facility. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to ensure safe production, on‑time delivery and high‑quality output.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, strong planning and problem‑solving skills, and a practical, solutions‑focused approach to keep projects moving. You’ll drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel fabrication or related manufacturing environments.
• Mechanical/HVAC background with knowledge of pipework systems.
• Mechanical and electrical estimation skills.
• Strong production planning and resource management.
• Understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Health & safety and quality awareness.
• Ability to collaborate with technical, project and commercial teams.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach to keeping production moving.
• Good IT skills including Office and Excel.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production, coordinating people, materials and resources to meet programme requirements.
• Plan workloads and production activities to maximise efficiency and keep projects on schedule.
• Lead and support the production team, maintaining high standards of performance, safety and quality.
• Collaborate with Digital, Design, Project and Commercial teams from design to delivery.
• Monitor progress, resolve production issues and identify risks or bottlenecks early.
• Manage materials, equipment and subcontracted activities to support production requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement across productivity, quality and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure finished products meet client requirements, specifications and industry standards.
