Job summary

Emtec Group in Coatbridge is seeking an experienced Heating Engineer to support the manufacture, installation and testing of heating and mechanical systems within our offsite production environment.

You'll join a friendly, hands-on team, reading drawings, fitting pipework and components, and carrying out testing to ensure quality and safety before units leave the facility. The role offers a 4-day week, generous holidays and a strong pension, with ample opportunity for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as Heating Engineer, Plumber or Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of heating and pipework systems.
• Experience reading drawings and technical information.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Positive, reliable team player.
• Relevant plumbing, heating or mechanical qualifications would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Installing heating and mechanical pipework systems within prefabricated modules and assemblies.
• Working from drawings and specifications to ensure correct installations.
• Fitting valves, pumps, controls, pipework and components.
• Carrying out testing and basic fault finding before units leave the facility.
• Working with production, engineering and quality teams to maintain programme.
• Ensuring all work meets quality, safety and technical standards.
• Identifying issues early and proposing practical solutions.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, safe working environment.
