Job summary

Thales in Belfast is seeking a Machine Shop Production Manager to lead a production team on a four-day on-site week (Mon–Thu). The role focuses on delivering costs, quality and deadlines while maintaining safety and adherence to HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a machine shop production team.
• Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement techniques (Gemba, 5S, KAIZEN).
• Familiarity with safety and HSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee team performance in costs, quality and deadlines with safety standards.
• Manage production plan and daily customer expectations; anticipate industrial risks.
• Develop team skills and autonomy; promote LEAN transformations.
• Maintain and optimize production/repair costs and productivity; reduce rework.
• Ensure load/capacity adequacy and effective daily management; communicate clearly.
