Job summary

Travail-Employment-Group is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead a busy mechanical and electrical equipment manufacturing operation in Bradford. You will drive safety, quality and on-time delivery, while developing teams and coordinating with Design, Engineering, Projects, Sales, Finance, QHSE and HR.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Production/Manufacturing Manager role in mechanical/electrical equipment manufacturing.
• Leadership experience in engineering or manufacturing operations.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and lean processes.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in a project-led manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day production across mechanical and electrical manufacturing activities.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency and profitability.
• Plan production and allocate resources to meet customer requirements and tight delivery schedules.
• Coach, mentor and develop production teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Projects, Sales, Finance, QHSE and HR.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Oversee production schedules, subcontractors and performance metrics.
• Lead production meetings and implement agreed actions.
• Support project handovers, client inspections and FAT readiness.
• Contribute to strategic planning and wider business improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and drive productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.
