Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Group Leader to manage a team of production operators in a food manufacturing environment. The role focuses on leading change, delivering shift targets and upholding Health & Safety, quality and efficiency standards.

Ideal candidates have prior experience as a production shift manager in food & beverage or FMCG, with a practical, hands-on leadership style and a track record of improving operational performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in manufacturing environments, preferably food or FMCG.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• IOSH Working Safely or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operators.
• Deliver daily production plans and monitor KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, GMP, hygiene and food safety standards.
• Manage shift resources, holidays and return-to-work interviews.
• Monitor production output, downtime and raw material availability.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality procedures and CCP checks.
• Lead daily production meetings and complete accurate shift handovers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and waste reduction.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and management to resolve operational issues.
